At Beauty Made Easy, we have committed to be a 100% plastic-free cosmetics company by 2023. We only use biodegradable products and recyclable materials and strive for a zero waste policy.

Our new line, Beauty Made Easy - Le Papier, is our first step in this direction.

With full conviction, we are one of the first companies in the world to introduce a whole range of products that are plastic-free, biodegradable and based exclusively on natural ingredients. We use paper packaging, which is gradually peeled off as the product is used, until there is almost no paper waste left when the lipstick is used up.
The remaining small excess is biodegradable and can be thrown in the normal wastebasket.

Wherever possible we do not use any additional outer packaging for the products and keep our shipping boxes to a minimum. In addition, we use materials with the lowest possible environmental impact, all of which can be recycled.

On our planet we are all connected. All actions in one part of the world affect the other part. We can't just think of ourselves, we have to work together and find solutions together for future coexistence.

The idea

Did you know that if we continue our current way of life, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050?

Did you know that in 2018 the cosmetics industry produced over 142 billion units of packaging, most of which ended up in landfills or the oceans? Most of this packaging is not recyclable.

We think there must be another way to develop cosmetic products and it turns out there is. Our packaging is
completely plastic-free.

We only use paper packaging for our lip balms and lipsticks. The paper comes from forests with sustainable forest management and is biodegradable and recyclable. Paper will last for years if kept dry and out of direct sunlight. However, should the paper end up in our environment, it will naturally degrade and be absorbed by our ecosystem.

Our packaging is designed to leave no waste. When you've used up your lipstick, you've also used up the packaging.

Everyone starts small - so do we / Small steps, big impact

Cosmetics without plastic? What almost sounds like a somewhat naïve utopia in view of the countless plastic packaging that can be found on the shelves of drugstores and perfumeries in this country soon grew into our corporate philosophy.

To be precise, our story begins in 2017 with Terje Munck from Denmark and her German business partner Marco Hülsbeck, two creative minds with an environmentally conscious streak and ecological expertise. Together they developed and designed the first Beauty Made Easy products based on natural ingredients. Terje in particular was passionate about the topics of environmental protection and sustainability and of course she began to be interested in cosmetics as a teenager. A promising combination.

Today we are a young company and also a bit proud of our history. Always mindful of sustainability and environmental protection, we do without plastic in all of our new products, instead using biodegradable packaging materials and only natural ingredients. This is our, so far small, contribution to protecting our earth and our homeland - but we are certain: Even small things can be great.
