At Beauty Made Easy, we have decided to be a 100% plastic-free cosmetics company by 2023. We only use biodegradable products and recyclable materials and strive for a zero waste policy.

Our new line, Beauty Made Easy - Le Papier, is our first step in this direction.

With full conviction, we are one of the first companies in the world to introduce a whole range of products that are plastic-free, biodegradable and based exclusively on natural ingredients. We use paper packaging that is gradually peeled off when using the product until there is almost no paper waste left when the lipstick is used up.
The remaining small excess is biodegradable and can be put in the normal waste paper basket.

Wherever possible, we do not use any additional packaging for the products and keep our shipping boxes to a minimum. In addition, we use materials with the lowest possible environmental impact, all of which can be recycled.

We are all connected on our planet. All actions in one part of the world affect the other part. We can not only think of ourselves; we have to work together and find solutions for future cooperation.

The idea

Did you know 


• that if we continue with our ways of life, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea in 2050?
• that the beauty industry generated over 142 billion units of packaging in 2018, which mostly ended up in either the ocean or landfills? Most of these billions of packaging are not recyclable.

We thought there must be another way of creating cosmetic products and it turned out there is. Our packaging is totally plastic free.

We use paper packaging for our lip balms and lipsticks. Paper comes from Scandinavian forest managed in sustainable way. Paper is biodegradable and recyclable. Paper can degrade in any environment. It will last for years if stored in dry conditions and away from direct sunlight, but if buried or dropped in the sea, it will degrade naturally and absorb in the eco-system.

Our packaging is designed following no waste principal. When you have used up your lipstick, you have also used up the packaging.

Everyone starts small – including us / Small steps, big impact

Cosmetics without plastic? What sounds almost like a somewhat naive utopia in view of the countless plastic packaging that can be found on the shelves of drugstores and perfumeries in this country, soon grew into our corporate philosophy.

In fact, our story begins in 2017 with Terje Munck from Denmark and her German business partner Marco Hülsbeck, two creative minds with an environmentally conscious streak and ecological expertise. Together they developed and designed the first Beauty Made Easy products based on natural ingredients. Terje, in particular, was passionate about environmental protection and sustainability, and of course she began to be interested in cosmetics even in her teenage years. A promising combination.

Today we are a young company and a little bit proud of our history. Always mindful of sustainability and environmental protection, we forego plastic in all our new products, instead we use biodegradable packaging materials and only natural ingredients. This is our small contribution to protecting our earth and our homeland - but we are certain that even small things can turn out great.
